Structured, Indexed and Generation of Multi-Alpha

With €38.6 billions under management (*) , SIGMA brings together BNPP AM's activities in the field of structuring, index-linked management, active guaranteed management, risk allocation and multi-strategy overlay. The team consists of 50 specialists based in Paris and Hong Kong .

SIGMA is positioned at the intersection of traditional forms of management on the one hand, and structured and index-linked activities on the other. It aims to enhance existing expertise by introducing a lateral overview of these activities, and to offer:

Innovation and a high order of technical expertise: we conduct our structuring activity in an environment of open architecture, and so take full advantage of our central position in the derivatives market to keep ourselves abreast of the latest innovations and ideas in this complex and continuously evolving market. Moreover, SIGMA offers a portable alpha product range, the application of overlay techniques and a “risk budgeting” approach.

Diversity and flexibility: SIGMA makes it possible to have access to the whole range of risk exposure (from index-linked management to management that is decorrelated from the financial markets), to numerous types of underlying asset and to all forms of envelope (from mutual funds to custom-made solutions).

Transparency: thanks to its open architecture, SIGMA provides access to the most innovative structures at a competitive price.

The range of products and services on offer

We offer two main product lines, corresponding to the degree of active management the client requires:

Systematic management, with or without guarantee: this comprises formula funds, index-linked funds and our EasyETF range of trackers.

Active management, with or without guarantee: this comprises core management (benchmarked funds, directional strategies) and a management (absolute return funds and portable alpha funds).

Finally, SIGMA offers services in the form of quantitative portfolio analysis and probabilistic studies of performance based on Monte Carlo simulations.
